I have been a teacher for 21 years, 7 of which I enjoyed as a headteacher, which included helping a school get out of special measures as their new headteacher. I have recently changed career, I now run a local children's cancer charity on a voluntary basis. I am married to a local farmer and we have two sons, both of whom went to Worthen School.

David Stacey - Foundation governor

I am a local landowner and farmer. For ten years I worked as a yogurt salesman and as a film producer, I won an International Emmy and two Prix Italia's.  I'm married to Annabel our two children were educated at Hope School and I have been a governor at Hope for several years. I am now a foundation governor.

Jane Gill - Headteacher

I have over 25 years teaching experience, mostly in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. I have been headteacher in two school previously; in my last, I was appointed to lead the school out of special measures.  I moved to Shropshire in 2013 and have one four year old son. I love gardening, writing and theatre, but in reality, I mostly play lego, farms and visit castles!

Janet Weeks - Foundation governor

I am a foundation governor in the new federation. I have spent a lifetime in education having spent 30 years teaching in Primary Schools followed by 10 years managing Nurseries and Early Years. I have been a governor at Hope over the last 2 years and have been involved with the Young Explorers and the Little Explorers.

Paul Ellis - Parent governor

I am an environmental consultant and director of a business based in Shrewsbury. I have a science background and knowledge of business and finance. I have been a governor for several years and understand the requirements and the uniqueness of small rural schools. I am a parent governor in our federation.

Giles Tulk - Foundation governor

I have been Rector of the Stiperstones Group of Churches since January 2016. I have been a Governor of four Church of England Schools. Before being ordained I was Director in an international HR Consultancy firm. I am married to Sara who is Deputy Head of English at Charlton School. My hobbies are walking the Shropshire hills & reading.

I am married with one daughter who attends Worthen School. I've lived in Brockton for ten years and I am involved in Worthen Youth Club too. I work for Shropshire Council as part of the Premises Services team, and I have extensive experience of managing school buildings.

Alison Harvey - Parent Governor

I am a Parent Governor. I am Mum to Owen & Iwan and I have only lived in Westbury for two years, however my husband and sister in law are ex-pupils of St. Mary’s. We are a Military family (I am ex-Royal Air Force) who have decided to permanently place our roots in Westbury. My hobbies are: reading, walking my two dogs, horse riding and socialising!

Emma Simms-McCormack - Foundation governor

I moved to Westbury in 2012, have two boys, one still at St Mary's where I have been a governor since 2014, serving as Chair for part of that time. My background is in youth work and adult education, mainly basic skills, including ICT. An important part of who I am is my Christian faith.

Yvonne Halford - Foundation governor

I grew up in Shropshire but lived in South Africa until 8 years ago. My husband Ian and I have six children and six grandchildren. We worship at St Mary's church and I enjoy sharing my faith through Messy Church and Open the Book. Hobbies include reading, embroidery, gardening and watching sport. I have been a governor at Westbury for six years - several of which were as Chair.

I have been Rector of the Benefice of Westbury, Worthen and Yockleton and ex officio governor since 2011. I was born a reds fan, enjoy the theatre, eating out and bird watching. I am regular visitor in school, lead collective worship, am a member of the Open the Book team and am committed to strengthening links between school, church and community.

Rachel Bissell - Foundation governor

As well as being on the governing body I’m also involved with the church and the pre-school in Worthen. I have a child going up to year 3 in September and we are both very excited about the opportunity to make lots more friends.I feel that all the children working together is not only great for their education but really important for them socially.

Local Authority Governor

We currently have one vacancy on the governing body. This person in this role is nominated by the Local Authority. We hope to have this member of the governing body in place before our next meeting in October 2016
